1:30-2:20pm “How to Participate in Mediation as a GAL/CASA” – Kelle Gilmore, JD
Kelle is a family law attorney who regularly serves as a mediator in family law disputes regarding custody. Kelle also represents parents in Family Court and serves as Guardian ad Litem. She will be discussing how to best participate in mediation as a Guardian ad Litem/CASA which will include an overview of how mediation can be different based on the permanency plan and what kinds of mediation agreements we can expect.
2:30-4:10pm “Understanding and Representing Youth with Problematic Sexual Behaviors” – Rene McCreary, Ed.S., LPC
Rene has worked as a therapist for over 30 years and is well known in the Kansas City community for her work with individuals with PTSD, mood dysregulation, and anxiety disorders. She worked as the Director of Clinical Services for MOCSA for over 10 years and now provides clinical supervision towards licensure for Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists. She consults with agency leaders to enhance their counseling programs and provides training on working with youth with problematic sexual behaviors in the community.
